Hello, everyone! Our #107 meeting was held on April 6th via Zoom with 10 members and 3 guests from Singapore, Mozambique and Colorado, United States.

Aa

The theme of this meeting was REINVIGORATE WOEK-LIFE BALANCE. The meeting started with a Small Talk Session where everyone shared how they were spending their time these days

Word of the Day was set to CAPTIVATING, CAPTIVATE and CAPTIVATINGLY.

In Prepared Speech Session, we had only one speaker today. TM Edward explained Social Anxiety Disorder(SAD) and how to conquer it with his own experiences. His slides were beautiful and sophisticated yet easy to understand. He concluded with a powerful message that encouraged us all!

Since there was only one prepared speech today, we had enough time for additional session called “TRUE or FALSE". Specifically, at first facilitator ask members and guests to tell 2 stories, one is true story and another is false story. The listener guess which story is true based on the speaker's appearance and writes true or false in the chat. Finally, the speaker confesses which story was true.

We actually got to know each other by doing it, and it was fun to carefully observe facial expressions and try to guess the answers!

In Table Topic Speech Session, the following 7 topics were provided related to today's theme.

・If you are transferred to a very far place, will you move there alone or with your family?

・What motivates you most to work?

・When you are about to leave the office, your boss asks you to work overtime. You are going on a date. How would you respond to your boss?

・How has COVID-19 pandemic affect your work-life balance?

・What is your favorite pastime?

・What is most important in your life?

・Which would you choose:

①a well-paid job with a lot of overtime and less days off

②a low-paid job with no overtime and more days off

After all sessions, the best Table Topic Speaker went to our guest, Mr.Jay. We did not vote on the evaluators this time because there was only one speaker.

We had a great time today with a diverse participants as always. Looking forward to seeing you next time, on April 20th!
