Our #83 meeting was held on April 7th via Zoom with 12 fellow members and 3 guests!
Our Toastmaster of the Day, TM Yuki Morimoto set "Starting" as the meeting theme in line with the scent of spring flowers. She effectively led the meeting! The small talk session was ebullient as always.
The word "elusive" was Word of the Day which was chosen by TM Mikiko Bandoh.
In the prepared speeches session, we had two speakers; TM Anita Fujii, and TM Thierry Ore. First speaker Anita delivered a webinar about Japanese tea ceremony (Chado) with great visual aids. And second speaker Thierry introduced himself to fellow members through Icebreaker speech.
Our Table Topics Master of the Day, TM Takako Yamada prepared intriguing questions about starting new things, including starting Toastamastering.
After the table topics session, General Evaluator TM Kimiko Masuoka coordinated the evaluation session. Two talented evaluators. TM Midori Yoshida, and TM Asami Miyazaki gave careful and in-depth speech evaluations. Also, fantastic work from our Timer TM Paul Peng, Grammarian TM Kazuko Takayama, and Ah-counter Masashi Kawakami, greatly helped us improving our public speaking skills.
