Hello, everyone! Our #97 meeting was held on November 3rd via Zoom with 12 members and a guest from Okinawa, Japan.
November 3rd was Culture Day, one of Japan's national holidays. It was established to commemorate the promulgation of the Japanese Constitution on November 3, 1946. Therefore meeting theme this time was NATIONAL HOLIDAYS. The meeting started with a Small Talk Session where everyone shared their updates.
In keeping with the meeting theme, Word of the Day was set to CELEBRATE.
In Prepared Speech Session, 1st Speaker, TM Edward, shared with us his three Toastmasters Club experiences so far and the lessons he learned from them. 2nd speaker, TM Mikiko, introduced that the famous actress Cate Blanchett has devoted herself to the refugee issue, and told us that it is important for many people to be aware of the refugee issue. And 3rd speaker, TM Harry, shared with us how he was a leader at work and what made him effective in leading his team.
In Table Topic Speech Session, the following 5 topics were asked related to today’s meeting theme.

・What is your worst memory of a national holiday?
・What is your favorite national holiday?
・What is your best memory of a national holiday?
・Do you want to have more national holidays or less national holidays? Why?
After all sessions, the best Table Topic Speaker went to our guest, TM Rika, and the Best Evaluator went to TM Kazuko!
