Hello, everyone! Our #99 meeting was held on December 1st via Zoom with 11 members and 1guest from Mito, Japan.
The meeting theme this time was THROW BACK 2021. The meeting started with a Small Talk Session where everyone shared how they spend their time recently and what do they think of the year.
In keeping with the meeting theme, Word of the Day was set to INSIGHTFUL.
In Prepared Speech Session, 1st Speaker, TM Frank, reminded us how Toastmasters can help us grow and through the Toastmasters pledge, he reminded us of our original intentions. 2nd speaker, TM Edward, began by referring to a tragic accident that had happened in the Philippines in the past and told us about the horror he now feels in relation to it. And 3rd speaker, TM Kazuko, talked about the problem of so many dogs being killed in Japan, and how it is something that should not be turned away from, and proposed a solution.
In Table Topic Speech Session, the following 6 topics were provided related to today’s meeting theme.
・What is one thing that you wish you could do, but you can’t, due to coronavirus pandemic?
・What are the things you felt thank for for over the last one year?
・Imagine a few decades from now, you will be telling stories to your grand children about corona times. What would your story be?
・How has your daily routine changed due to corona pandemic?
・After the pandemic has disappeared, what is the first thing you would like to do?
・Did you think that human would have such pandemic?
After all sessions, the best Table Topic Speaker went to TM Dermot, and the Best Evaluator went to TM Midori!
