Diversity Club meeting #179

Hi there, thank you for visiting our blog!

We are an online Toastmasters club based in Japan. Anyone who is interested in visiting our club, just come visit our meeting. We will welcome you with open arms, and excited to listen to your story!

It was another uplifting meeting. We had three guests, and one of them was a former member thinking about coming back;-) It's always refreshing and interesting to listen to guests' speeches. We had two prepared speeches. The first speech "Running against the current"left a powerful message 'Life is for participating, not spectating.' It reminded me of the catch phrase of NIKE, 'Just do it.' The second speech was "Don't react, respond"which I gave, and also my favorite quote by Jiddu Krishnamurti, an Indian philosopher. It was an inspiring way to say "Think before you speak."

There were some interesting topics related to cherry blossoms in the table topic session. The speeches were uplifting as it was the word of the day.
