Hi there, thank you for visiting our blog!
We are an online Toastmasters club based in Japan. If you are interested in brushing up your public speaking skills, come check us out! Our meetings are on the first and the third Wednesday 21:00-22:20.
We had another fun meeting with a guest from Brasil! Thank you for joininig. True to our club's name "diversity," we welcome speakers from all over the world.
Our main event was a speech on the Shikoku Pilgrimage. The speaker introduced us to this fascinating Buddhist spiritual journey. The speach was informative and educational. I was now convinced that I want to go someday! I was impressed by the custom of Osettai, heartwarming Japanese hospitality for pilgrims.. ( Even as a Japanese person, I wasn't aware of this specific local tradition, which made it a great discovery for me!) It was interesting to know about Shikoku Pilgrimage.
In the Table Topics session, we shared stories about our emotions and preferences based on colors. It was a wonderful way to learn about the diverse experiences and personalities of our fellow Toastmasters.
Overall, it was a lively and international meeting. We all shared a sense of camaraderie, especially when discussing the pink cherry blossoms (Sakura), which are so iconic to Japan. I felt nostalgic.
Once again, I want to appreciate our guest today from Brasil, and thank all of you who joined the meeting today! Next meeting will be debate session. Come and join us💕
