It’s already coming toward the end of January, but in my area it’s not like winter at all. The highest temperature today is expected to be 18C! At night, however, it’s cold actually. On such nights I like stargazing a lot. The winter sky is so crystal-clear that stars look to be shining more brilliantly than any other season. Don’t you think so?

Oki-doki, let’s start our 150th meeting! As our unique session Small Talk, Yoichi-san started talking about his fun time with his grandkids in Hakane. (One of them appeared on the screen later. He looked like Yoichi-san and so adorable.) Takako-san got a posh cashmere scarf from her children as her birthday present. Her pleasant smile made us happy. Aki-san talked about her journey to Spain with her husband She is a good photographer. She shared some attractive photos with us. Her intriguing talk made me decide the next destination for my journey ;) Erika-san shopped at LOFT to get a nice diary. She spent her time on looking around the diary section for a long time and found very interesting ones such as a book diary and a night coffee diary. Night coffee?! I was curious how many people like to drink coffee at night? They need to be wide-awake? haha.. Not only Aki-san but Mikiko-san went abroad with her husband. She took a tour to Taiwan and enjoyed their time exploring the capital Taipei and staying at a gorgeous hotel. Speaking of which, I was going to stop over there for 10 hours on the way to Vienna during my last trip. But I couldn’t make it due to my poor health condition, but next time I would love to go to both Taiwan and Spain! Kazuko-san, Yuki-san and I have been so busy working recently, but each of us was satisfied with what we accomplished. Our new member Ritsuko-san went to Niseko, one of the most famous ski resorts in Japan. She expected that English education will be more important since there were so many international tourists there. What an interesting view point!

Next session Thought of the Day was conducted by her. Since she is from Hokkaido, she has special feelings toward snow. When it comes to snow, she associates it with the words like serenity and peaceful. And she said the color white should have something to do with them. According to her explanation, it has both positive and negative meanings. As time goes by, the meaning has changed little by little. It was a really interesting way of thinking.

Today we had Joke Master. Well, honestly speaking, I didn’t even catch some of her words due to my poor understanding even though she told 3 kinds of short stories...

OMG...until yesterday I checked my notes from the meeting, but seriously it seems I've lost it. I have searched far and wide. What's worse, the meeting this time was not recorded due to some reason. So I'm afraid I can't review it and write any more details. Sorry!

Having said that, I've remembered taking screenshots from Table Topic Session. So let me just share the questions we got with you here: If you could travel back in time, when and where would you like to go and what would you like to do?; What is your most memorabel New Year's celebration?; Do you think New Year's resolutions are meant to be broken?; Tell us 3 things that you would like to stop doing and start doing this year; If you could make a miracle, what would you like to happen this year? What intriguing questions they are! If I had been in charge of the role, I couldn't have come up with those questions! Thank you, Takako-san! As for the debate session, I didn't take any screenshots. Sorry again....but it was really exciting to watch Kimiko-san and Erika-san debating very successfully. They did some research on some articles related to the proposition in advance. I wish I could be such a debater like them though I'm not good with it even in Japanese. haha...But I believe the saying "Practice makes perfect." and I will give it another try some day :)

That's all for my report. I hope you will enjoy it though this blog may not be crystal-clear to you;)
