Creativity
It is simply fun to create something. We are toastmasters who create public speeches. So, we have the privilege to create communication towards mutual understanding. Creativity may be demonstrated as twists and humors in speeches or recognized as delivered expressions and embedded messages. By all means, we can be creative as long as being toastmasters. Creativity can make us happy by breathtaking surprise and bring us joy of encountering new discoveries. Creativity is part of the benefits that we can enrich ourselves.
何かを生み出すことは本当に楽しいことです。私たちは人前でスピーチをするトーストマスターですから、お互い理解しあうためのコミュニケーションを生み出す特権をもっています。創造性はスピーチの中では「ひねり」だったりユーモアで表現されたり、見える表現力や含みのあるメッセージに見つけられるかもしれません。いずれにしても、トーストマスターである限りクリエイティブになれるのです。創造性は、はっとするような驚きで幸せな気分にさせてくれますし、新しい発見に出会う喜びをもたらしてくれます。創造性は私たちを豊かにしてくれます。
Capacity
How do you see water in glass? Half full or half empty? It can be applied to our toastmasters activities. How was our speech delivery? How is our club status? Etc. Emptiness can turn into flexibility and potential capability. Fulfilment can turn into less opportunity and critical point to take care. We can consider the size of our glasses to let us happy by maintaining our capacity as big enough. We can hear the echo, “Stay foolish. Stay hungry.” Capacity is another benefit that we can enhance.
コップの水、どう見えますか？私たちのトーストマスターの活動にもあてはまるかもしれません。スピーチの出来はどうだっただろうか？クラブの状態はどうだろうか？などなど。水が少ないなら、自由度もあるし、のびしろもあるとも思えます。いっぱいだったら、もうこれ以上は望めなかったり、気をつけるべき時にきているのかもしれません。キャパシティを十分に保つことによって幸福感を感じられるなら、コップのサイズを考えてみてもいいでしょう。ジョブズの言葉が聞こえてきそうです。キャパシティを増やしてみるのもいいことですよね。
Continuity
To be a toastmaster, we always need the audience. Audience gives us feedback no matter how sweet or bitter to us. Feedback drives us to get more steps forward. However, we see some blocks ahead and feel some fatigue in taking steps. It is natural to our human beings so as to toastmasters. I also took some breaks due to some conflicts in mind. After taking good rest, toastmasters accepted me to get back on the track. Path was always there. Continuity is another benefit that we can ensure.
トーストマスターである限り、オーディエンス（聴衆）が絶対に必要です。優しい言葉も厳しい言葉もフィードバックとして届けてくれます。フィードバックがあるからこそ、前に進めます。ですが、前に進もうとすると壁にぶつかったり、足を踏み出すのに疲れてしまうこともあります。人間ですから当たり前です。私自身もなんらかの原因で時々休んできました。しっかり休んだ後、トーストマスターの皆さんは私が戻ることを受け入れてくれました。道をいつも用意してくれました。続けられることは本当にありがたいことです。
