Ginza! 23 June, 2019

It was another entertaining afternoon of prepared speeches, a workshop and table topics, on Sunday 23 June at Kyobashi Plaza Kuminkan where Ginza TMC held their last regular meeting of 2018-2019 term.

1. Introduction

Yuko, President of the Club, welcomed everyone to the meeting then proposing a theme of "Present, Present, Present and Pass" that would help us to keep developing our communication skills through Toastmasters. She then introduced TMoD Gacky who explained the running order of the meeting and declared the word of the day "Fruitful".

2. Prepared speeches

The first speaker was Shinsaku with his Presentation Mastery #16- titled "Comedy show". Candidly and amusingly speaking out an "amateur comedy show" he joined in New Zealand, he carefully analyzed the lessons he learned and ideas he developed. In his opinion, Japanese Rakugo might allow native English speakers to learn how to structure a comedy show creatively, effectively promote their own individual show, and meet a ton of great new people along the way.

Next to speak was Yuko with her special occasion #4 -Presenting Award- titled "Ultimate Spirit that Lives on". Telling a story about the significance of the "Ginza Memorial Award" that has been inaugurated this year, she provided background on the recipient, held the award respectfully and handed it to her as if it were a treasure, and most importantly, acknowledged the massive contributions of the recipient-outgoing VPE and incoming Executive Officer TOMOMI Takeshima.

3. Workshop & Song of the Day

The song master presenter, Drian then organized the brilliant musical workshop where he has been in the middle of putting his all into a brand new song for Ginza TM. The Ginza club song has been in production since last November and marked the Ginza's first large-scale project, and at the session, combining his talents as an inspiring songwriter, he invited us to incorporate each original "Ginza" words that would capture the essence of Ginza views, Ginza feelings, and Ginza story. Following the practice, members arrangement were demonstrated. His uplifting advice helped us to bring out the hidden talent in us. Enjoy 'Here------ in Gin-za'!, and lets sing together in our next Ginza Meeting!

4. Table Topic Master

Table Topic Master Eva then led a "Happy Alphabet" table topic session where respondents, Yossy, Tomomi, Gacky and Drian, started each sentence with a word that begins with a specific letter "G-I-N-Z-A", with a story that would make us happy. Highlights included "A"mazing life in Yossy, "A"merica that changed her life in Tomomi, "Z"etton who is the strongest hero in Gacky, and "G"olden week, "G"old chocolate and "G"in story in Drian.

After the table topics, General Evaluator Tomomi invited two beautiful evaluators: Tomomi for Shinsaku and Eva for Yuko. Finally, Tomomi evaluated our meeting.
