Ginza! 23 February, 2020

Ginza Toastmasters Club held their latest regular meeting on Sunday, 23 February at Kyobashi-Plaza-kaikan, in Ginza. We were treated to an excellent workshop, three beautiful speeches and fantastic table topic with the guests.

1. Introduction

Gacky, President of the Club, welcomed everyone to the meeting with cheers and expressed a warm welcome to our guests including Erina Morisawa, Noe (from Nihonbashi TM), and Masa offered to them an opportunity to introduce themselves and make a short greeting. He then introduced impromptu TMoD Yuko who described the running order of the meeting and then invited the special presenter, Gacky, to the stage.

2. Workshop

President Gacky held the cooperative workshop titled "Advertisement of Ginza". His workshop invited us to craft Ginza TMC ads copies of three elements ( ("Communication", "English" "Leaders") that captivate visitors' attention on the Kyobashi website which he is going to place an advertisement in. He wanted the Ginza ads copy to build the story of Ginza TMC, — all in one snappy sentence and an eye-catching image- so that Ginza TMC could stand out in the website. In a group discussion, we completed the exercise followed by a demonstration. In the end, we selected the best TMC ads copies of three elements. His workshop gave us a great opportunity to learn certain elements of the website ads creative to help drive awareness through advertising. Gacky, well done. We are looking forward to see Ginza TMC ads on the Kyobashi wesite in the near future.

Best Ginza TMC ads copy;

"Communication" Open your spirits to the world with some sense of humor and story-telling.

"Leader" Incubator for Future Leader Ginza TMC.

"English" Skill up your English using sophisticated expression attending Ginza TMC.

3. Song of the Day

After the short break, the song master Yossy presented "New York State of Mind" written by Bill Withers in 1976. This song represents NY and It is said that Billy wrote this song literally days after returning to NY from CA. We pictured him on a Greyhound bus, looking out the window, as this song drives along the Hudson River towards us and thinking the lyrics to himself. During the session, we read the text one line at a time in turns and sang together afterward.

4. Prepared speeches

The first speaker was Yossy with his Effective coaching #3-13- titled "Would you like to challenge a new business?". He presented a talk on a topic "entrepreneur" which most people might be interested in. His speech helped us to learn certain key elements when starting up some new jobs.

Next to speak was MOMOYO with her contest speech titled "Life lessons from Natural Farming". MOMOYO beautifully expressed memorable experience on her organic life and her elegant stories with detail explanations blew our mind.

The last speaker was Noe with her Motivational Strategies #3-1-titled "a trump". Her speech discussed the impact of the tracking of emotions for US President Trump. Her speech was stunning, powerful and overwhelming and she didn’t make anyone bored.

5. Table Topics

Impromptu Table Topic Master Noe then led a very timely table topic session on the theme of "Toastmasters" where Shisaku, Morisawa-san and Yuko participated and was invited to answer the questions as to Toastmasters contests. Highlights included "motivation" in Shinsaku, "speech skills" in Morisawa-san and "cool president" in Yuko.

After the table topics, General Evaluator MOMOYO invited three excellent evaluators: Shinsaku for Yossy, Yuko for MOMOYO, and Gacky for Noe. Finally, MOMOYO evaluated our meeting.
